This Sunday I woke up with an incredible desire of eating breakfast at my grandmother’s house with all my family. So I called the closest family I have in MADrid, my friends Mariana, Mafe and Mia, and we went in search of this Venezuelan breakfast in the city.

We found “La Candelita”, a place in the middle of Chueca (Calle Barquillo, 30), full of charm and Latin flavor, which offered us a Brunch quite close to what my grandmother could do.

Brunch is served on Sundays starting at 12:30. The rest of the menu is quite extensive too, so it’s not a bad idea to visit it any other day of the week for a good Latin lunch or dinner.
