Hey! I´m Vero from a beautiful country called Venezuela.
In my day a day I am a petrophysicist (what?!)….it means that I work for an oil company and I get to evaluate wells to determine if there is oil, gas or/and water and how much. Sounds really cool and it is. Plus sometimes I have to go to the wells to supervise the operations, and of course these wells most of the time are in unique places where you never imagine planning a trip to.
Besides my career, in my spare time all I think about is which country should I visit next, my biggest passion, and after traveling to a few places I first decided to start my own blog so I don´t have to write down the details a thousand times every time one of my friends want to go to a place I´ve been. After a pair of posts, I fell in love with my project, so I started adding inspirational posts, details about the city I live in (Madrid), restaurants I go, etc. A fact: I have no idea how the blog´s name came to my mind, I guess it was a moment of inspiration in my italian class.
For you to know more or less how my trips usually are, flashpackerfamily.com found the right concept to define myself: I´m a FLASHPACKER.
“Flashpacker: One who travels with the intrepid ethos of a backpacker but having added comfort, style and technology whilst still maintaining a sense of exploration and adventure”
And beside my biggest passion, I would say I love to plan parties (weddings, baby showers, birthdays), redecorate my house every now and then, cook for friends, have a nice glass of wine (or 2..), especially spanish wine, my yoga classes, italian and indian culture, bury my feet in the cold sand, history books, to cut my hair, rainy days at home, sunny days with my family in Puerto La Cruz, to buy gifts and to look for flats in internet even when I´m not planning on moving.
The only 2 things I´m 100% sure I don´t like are cats and milk. Well, the cats thing goes to a different level: it´s a phobia, but that´s another story.
Welcome to my project! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Here is a list of all the countries I have visited (some don´t have links because I went there before creating this blog or I haven´t write a post yet):
- Czech Republic
- United Kingdom
- Vatican City
- Papua New Guinea
